Stay tuned for information on our next Team Aspire run. All are welcome!
Though we are training for the Aspire Urgent Care and Family Medicine Harrisburg Marathon and Relay, any one can join us for our weekly runs. Don’t want to do a whole marathon; join or form a relay team with Team Aspire and experience all the race-day excitement!
Our next run is Saturday, Sept 3 at 7am. Place TBD. Join us and bring a friend.
Team Aspire Week 16 Run (Aug 20)
Congratulations to our runners and walkers from Week 15. We had a beautiful morning and the trail was a great break from the road. I’ve received requests to do the trail again. For those of you who have reached a new distance of 10 miles, fabulous job. Keep up the great work.
Week 16 backs us down to 7 miles. We will meet at City Island at 7:45. Please meet at the base of the steps in the parking lot. There will be one hydration station (we’ll hit it twice). Please see the link to the route. We are combining our Wormleysburg and Camp Hill routes.
Several people have asked when we are going to move the runs to 7:00 a.m. since the distances are getting longer. Beginning 8/28 (12 mile run), we will run at 7:00 a.m.
Reminder, 8/28 is a Sunday. We switched days because of the HARRC After Dark run being on Friday night.
I am in need of hydration station volunteers for the runs on 8/28 (need 2 volunteers for 2 different stations) and 9/3 (need 2 volunteers for 2 different stations). Your assistance would be greatly appreciated! Other dates are still available. We accept family, friends, older children, etc. as water recruits. We will probably be in the city/HACC area for both runs. The link to the hydration station sign up is:

Thank you in advice!!
Run with Team Aspire– Week 15 (Aug 13)– All welcome
Week 15-We are past the halfway point in our 28 week training schedule. Whoohoo!! Now we start the countdown to the marathon!!
I really enjoyed Saturday’s run along the Yellow Breeches; hope you did too. Congratulations to everyone that walked and ran. Hopefully you didn’t even notice the hills while you were enjoying the beautiful scenery. Thank you to Don Yetter and the Hammel family for manning the hydration stations.
This weekend we will run Conewago trail-10 miles. The link to the trail is below….straight out and back (even I can’t get lost on this one). No hill surprises for you this week! In fact, if you have family that would like to join you/us on their bikes, this is a great route for bikes as well.

Please meet at 7:45 at the parking lot at the trail head located off of Route 230. If you are not familiar with this area, directions are below.
If you are coming from Route 283, take the Toll House Road/Route 230 Exit. Follow Route 230 East for slightly over 2 miles. The “Plant Place” and a boarded up Getty gas station will be on your left-adjacent is the parking lot to the trail. The parking lot is not very large, but I suppose we could probably park at the Getty gas station-it is obviously not be used.
Team Aspire Week 14 Run (Aug 6)
I am excited for this Saturday’s run-Week 14. It is a beautiful run along the Yellow Breeches Creek and rural roads. The link to the route is below. It is a 9 mile run and we will have 2 hydration stations (we will hit the one station twice-so 3 chances for drinks). There will also be GU gel available starting this week as well. I will let you know the cost of the gel on Saturday morning. We can have the gels at the hydration stations in case you don’t want to carry it with you on the route.

Before Saturday’s run, we can talk about gels and other fuel options during the run, when to fuel and how often, etc.
Please meet at 7:45 at St. Elizabeth Seton Ann Seton Church parking lot (we have permission to park there), 310 Hertzler Road, Mechanicsburg. Our route will take us from the church to the Lower Allen Township Park (AKA Fun Fort Park for those of us west shore people with kids), which will be a hydration station (2nd) and turnaround point.
See you Saturday.
