Team Aspire Week 17 run Changes and Updates
Hello Team Aspire. I apologize there is a lot of information and changes this week.
First, thank you Caroline Huskin for manning the water station this past weekend. We had a nice 7 mile run through Wormelysburg and Camp Hill. And I found the best sticky buns at the West Shore Market after the run!
This week’s run is 12 miles. For some, this will be the longest distance you have run. You have built up to this distance using a good training method, so it is mind over matter at this point. You can do it! Stretch and hydrate well, and listen to your body.
IMPORTANT. We were planning to do the run on Sunday due to HARRC After Dark on Friday night. However, it looks like Hurricane Irene will be heading our way on Sunday morning. So, the run will be at 7:00 a.m on SATURDAY morning. The route is below (City Island to Wildwood Park and return). Please meet at City Island at the start of the walking bridge at 6:45. (Sunday will be rainy —you can catch up on your rest then).

I really need two people to man the hydration stations since we are shifting to Saturday. Please let me know ASAP if you can do this or can recruit someone to do it.
Two other things:
1. Due to the busy weekend with HARRC After Dark, the 12 mile run and the weather, Ladies Night Out is being postponed. We hope to reschedule it in the near future. Sorry for the confusion.
2. If you are not running in HARRC After Dark, please come cheer on the group Friday night if you are able. David and Rich are hoping everyone will join for socialization after the run (social destination to be determined). If you are running in HARRC After Dark, meet at 6:15 at City Island by the steps.
Finally, HARRC is having a 15K trail run on October 2 at Pinchot Park. Please see the HARRC website for details. www.HARRC.org.
